Worst Walmart in America - Martinsburg, West Virginia


This is a video of Walmart in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The Store Manager, 'David', takes a cigarette break instead of helping the long lines of customers at the check-out.

  1. Don't like waiting to checkout in Walmart? Then do not shop at Walmart. No one should have any sympathy for your irresponsible decision to shop here. You knew when you entered the facility, that giving your $ to the Walmart corporation was wrong to begin with. You got lousy service not because you chose that particular location, not because the employees there are worse than anywhere else, nope. Your service was lousy because you chose to do business with a corporation that prides itself on providing low quality goods at low prices at the expense of low paid labor for huge profits. Turn the camera 180 degrees, point it at your face and blame yourself for not choosing to shop with a better company.

  2. So I worked at Walmart from 6/19/02 until 12/28/11. In this video the person spoke to David. The person asked if he was the store manager and he replied he was "A" manager. He never said he was the "store manager." He was a Customer Service Manager (CSM) and was the ONLY ONE ON THE FRONT END! With being the only one up front he could not get on a register unless a salaried manager would have come up and take his place as a CSM. The co manager and to assistants were in the back office and never responded to any requests from David for help over the radio. So he did all he could bring the only one. I was the produce manager back then getting ready for inventory when all that happened and I even went up to run register as soon as I could. THE ONLY REASON DAVID EVEN GOT A BREAK WAS BECAUSE THE OVERNIGHT MANAGERS COVERED FOR HIM TO TAKE HIS BREAK (WHICH HE DIDN'T EVEN TAKE A FULL BREAK) I am sorry for the rant but David did all he could do with being the only one and having coverage in any other areas he could have called upon to get on register to check customers. So the person taking the video just assumed David just didn't want to run a register! HE COULD HAVE BUT THEN IF ANYONE WOULD HAVE NEEDED A REGISTER OVERIDE,RETURNS,CHANGE, OR JUST A PROBLEM THEN SAID "SORRY YOU NEED A CSM FOR SOMETHING I AM RUNNING REGISTER TO GET RID OF THE LINES, DEAL WITH WHATEVER YOUR PROBLEM YOU HAVE YOURSELF"
